Car Alarms: Audivox Pro Series Remote Valet Feature, valet mode, keyless entry system

Hi,

 I have a 1997 Toyota Corolla with an Audiovox Pursuit Pro series alarm.  I
want to disengage the alarm and just use the door lock/unlock feature.  How
can I get it in the valet mode to accomplish that?  I see the valet toggle
switch but can't seem to get it to work.  It did in the past, somehow I reset
the alarm feature again and can't find any instructions on how to get it back
again.

Should be:

Turn on the ignition key, press and hold in the button
(little spring loaded micro button, red or black possibly)
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.=VALET/OVERIDE

This stops the alarm except for the keyless
entry if installed. Once in Valet mode,
it will allow the car to start and operate
like there was no alarm at all,
except the keyless entry system would work
if installed.

That should solve the troubles.
