Car Alarms: Car Alarm, 2005 nissan altima, nissan altima

Question
I have a 2005 nissan altima with a checkmate model KD-150 security system.  The faceplate of the remote was lost. My wife still has hers though The questions are how/where can I receive another at/from without getting a whole new alarm system.
Will a new alarm work without deactivating hers?
