Car Alarms: ultra start 1250 problem, subaru outback, alarmtek

Question
Since I unhooked then rehooked the battery cables on my 98 Subaru Outback.

I can't get the 4 way flashers to stop flashing.
Even when I drive, or car is parked and off, they still flash.

They flash about 25 times then pause for 10 seconds then start flashing again.
I have tried everything in the manual to try and stop this but nothing seems to work.
If I understand correctly from the Manual, it appears to be in "Panic Mode" But I'm not sure.
The instructions for Panic Mode did'nt stop it.

Only way I can stop it is to unhook battery cables while it's parked.

Any theories?

I am considering uninstalling it completely.
How complicated would this be?

I can get it to start remotely after taking it out of Service Mode.If it idles without the key in ignition, the flashers don't flash.
But as soon as I put the key in, the flashers start up.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank You

mike

Answer
Ok, the 1250 does not have an alarm in it, so
your vehicle's own security is triggering I
believe.

There is a wire from the 1250 to go to the
OEM /Factory disarm wire so that it disables
when the remote starter is used.
(I do not share this info online openly.
If you want the wiring chart for this vehicle,
go to the link below for them.)

Have a look at your notes, or get them at www.ultrastarters.com
and address this wire. It should solve the issue of
the factory system "going off" when you use
the 1250.
