Car Alarms: 1993 Acura Vigor, acura vigor, replacement remotes

Question
QUESTION: I have a 93 Vigor that is currently a boat anchor. I have tried to ground the car alarm (green/black wire by fusebox under hood) and bend the hood sensor to stop it arming itself.Currently, no matter what I do it just will not reset and goes off and disable the car. At wits end. I don't want to spend a ton of money on a 15 yo car. Any suggestions. Thanx

ANSWER: From my experience, only after market systems
"arm themselves."

From your description, it's an after market issue.

You'll need to set off the alarm for a few seconds.
Then, turn on the ignition
key, press and hold in the button
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.

At this point. the alarm would have reset.
If this had a starter kill relay installed,
it would now be opened, and the engine would
turn over when tried. This is override/reset.

You would repeat these steps to go back to
user mode but in your case, I'd leave it this
way until you can either get replacement
remotes or, replace the alarm with one
you know and understand how it operates for
the best overall experience (suggested!).

Let me know what you discover.

QUESTION: Unfortunately, this is most definitely an factory alarm. The horn honks and the lights flash and no button to push. Would disconnecting the battery reset the alarm and allow the engine to turn over. Thanks, for your prompt reply, I really appreciate it.

ANSWER: Wrong fuse box my friend.
The one it refers to is at the fuse box
under the DASH.

Look again and try.

QUESTION: Grounded the green/black wire under dash and the alarm is still armed. Pulled the horn fuse so it wouldn't honk for about 10 minutes. Plugged it back in and the alarm started sounding off.I'm really frustrated and I don't want to tow to Acura dealer because of cost.Is there any other way to disarm the alarm. Thanks in advance.

Answer
Nope, not to my knowledge. You have what we have here
in the notes. The reason we have this info is to
disable/disarm the factory system on a vehicle
so we can put in remote starters and after market
alarms. This info only shows what wire & where.
