Nissan Repair: window problem, nissan sentra, sentra

Hi,

I have a Nissan Sentra 2000.
The problem I have is with the driver side window. It is coming down well, but when I try to close it, sometimes refuses to go up. If I press the button several times, and I help the glass with my hand, eventually will close.
What can be wrong?- how to test it/fix it?

Hi Val -

This looks like your window motor has gone bad. It does take substantially more energy to bring the window up as compared to down so the motor is struggling.

Replacement is pretty basic, however you will still need some tools to remove your door panel to access the motor. It is mounted to the frame with 10mm bolts.

Are you planning on replacing this yourself? If so, I can get you the step by step.
