Car Alarms: 2002 Liberty Alarm honking, resident technicians, silent mode

after taking my car to get oil fixed, whenever i click the lock or unlock on my alarm remote it now honks - loud. just once when i unlock, and twice when i lock. this happened when i first bought the car, and then one day it just stopped. now it's back. do you know how to get the alarm back to "silent" mode? Thanks!
