Motorcycle Repair: wiring, test light, high beam

Question
i have a 1992 harley classic i had to change the plug on the headlight i need to know the wiring for this. witch wire goes where thanks

Answer
Steve, I don't have any wiring diagrams for H-D brands handy.

All you need is a 12v test light, though...

Ground the test light to the frame or known grounding point and then use the probe end to check each connector end with the lights ON and see which one is LO beam and which one is HIGH beam. If one is ground (3 wire), then it will never light up.
Put tape on the wires and write it down if necessary.

You should have either two or three leads....

LO   HI and maybe GROUND. Depends on the type of bulb and how the system is grounded to the chassis. Honda uses 3 wires, grounding the headlight system back through the harness to battery ground.

That's all I can say about that....

Good luck,
