Car Alarms: escort mk6 alarm, resident technicians, escort mk 6

hi i have a ford escort mk 6 1995 1.6.zetec.when i unlock the car from drivers side the alarm goes off. when i unlock it from passenger side the alarm does not go off. is there any solution to this or a way of disconnecting the alarm.
