Car Alarms: keyless Entry, step algorithm, subaru impreza

Question
i have a subaru-impreza, 2003 model, 1.6 liter engine car.  the battery of my remote control keyless entry died few days ago.  i replaced the battery with a new one.  the keyless entry does not work anymore although it has a new battery. i looked it up on the internet and found some tips about "reprogramming the keyless entry".  the procedure described was very detailed, a step-by-step algorithm like closing all doors and switching on/off 10 times and waiting for some 10 seconds after which the program is retransmitted to the key...something like that...
long story, short...i would like to know please if there is such a thing to reprogram the keyless entry..this is to begin with...if yes, please send me the algorithm...if not, please tell me what to look into to fix the problem...anyway, i would like to know two things, first where exactly the sensor is located in the car body, second, what to do if the sensor is broken down.

Sorry you did not read the BIG note
I left at ALLEXPERTS.com concerning
remote programming issues.

No can do. Really, as it said very clearly
on the site you just asked this from,
I do not sell replacements remotes,
or provide programming for remotes here.

Still true.
Sorry about that.
