Lincoln/Mercury Repair: 2003 Navigator alarm malfunction, side kick panel, car carport

For about a month the alarm on our 2003 Navigator (76000 miles) has gone off every night and occasionally during the day without any identifiable reason. It will sound 5-35 times and then stop and it will be random as to time and outside temp.  It is parked in an open 2 car carport.  I cannot find or determine any external cause for this. My neighbors are ready to shoot me. Help!!! Thanks

Seems if as someone playing trick or treat on you or the family pet has the spare fob! Just kiddin'! There are no TSB's on this which means this is not a common issue. This is likely a failure in the alarm module. I suggest replacing this. Part number 4L1Z15604AD, list price $159.66 at your local Ford dealer. Book time for the replacement is .7 of an hour or about 3 beers! hehehe it's located right above the air suspension disable switch which is on the right side kick panel.
