Car Alarms: honda odyssey alarm, fender bender, 2004 honda odyssey

Our 2004 Honda Odyssey was in a small fender bender and our back bumper was hit.  Following repair of the vehicle, our vehicle alarm goes off whenenever it is locked.  The only thing that prevents the alarm from going off is to pop the hood and then lock it.  We have tried to lock it by hand without using the remote key, etc, etc.  nothing works except popping the hood.  We have also taken it to the honda dealer and they were of no help.  Any ideas on how we could disable the alarm?  Thank you.

I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY or, ANTI-THEFT" light
in the dash flashing?
(doubtfull since none of the notes show this
car as having a factory alarm system)=FACTORY

Or,

is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?= AFTER MARKET

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take.
