Car Alarms: 2002 liberty alarm, resident technicians, keyless entry

Question
i have a 2002 limited liberty and it has two problem with the alarm,
1. when i try to program the keyless entry it does nothing, i replace battery a few times.  i follow all instructions but still no response.

2. when i try to deactivate the alarm by push the key in the door, I have to jingle the key a long  time before i see the alarm light deactivate, if i don't do that then i have to start the jeep immediately to deactivate the alarm, it is a factory alarm,

it is annoying having to wait 5 minutes to play with the lock to deactivate the alarm,

with this project.

I unfortunately don't know the
system you are working with to advise
you properly on it's functions,
features or trouble shooting
information. Better to check with a tech
that might.
