i was thinking of adding a kill switch to my daughters 90 accord is this smart or should i get a alarm and what kind

Either or.
Just depends on the level of prtoection you want,
and pocket. A simple starter kill mechanisim
like the microlock (key type under the dash
see at many of my web sites at 29.95)
or, a remote type (www.repopper.com),
or of course a full alarm (www.caralarmz.com)

It really depends on your needs.
