Car Alarms: 94 toyota camry factory alarm, toyota camry, alarmtek

I bought my camry from my uncle with a factory alarm.  I do not know what brand it is.  Theres no name on the alarm fob.  My problem is there is no bypass switch incase the remote malfunctions or loose my key and use a spare key.  I have tried using the original factory key at the door locks but to no avail.  Any suggestions?  I'm thinking of going aftermarket.  Thanks.

It already is aftermarket Frank.
The 1994 Camry did not have a headlight flashing,
horn honking detterent system in it.

But at this point, getting a new
system is strongly advised so you know what it
does, and have the ability to control it
with fresh new remotes and an overide button.

If no overide exsists now, removal would be the
first thing I'd do to get started!
