Car Alarms: Pursuit Car Alarm, alarmtek, radio circuit

Question
I just purchased a 1982 Corvette which is equipped with a Pursuit Alarm System that was installed in Connecticut about 4 years ago. The car has been in storeage for over fiurs years and the previous owner cannot remember details about the system.
The system is tied into the radio fuse. However when you install the fuse it not only activates the alarm and radio, it also activates the interiior lights and power door locks. The problem is the interior lights will not turn off. Everything else radio power door locks and alarm work OK.
Do you why the interior lights would be a part of the system and why the whole system is tied to the radio circuit fuse?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Answer
It was improperly installed.
The alarm would NEVER be on a "fuse" if
it were.

Try getting the info for it at www.audiovox.com
and maybe have the power re aligned by a local
car alarm tech so that the ignition sense
and the constant source of power is located
AT the ignition wires instead.

As far as the interior lights, thay are on
the same circuit as the parking light are,
and flash in unison with them. Normal.

Good luck.
