Car Alarms: Karr Alarm Problems, ford dealer, representitive

Question
My problems started when I allowed my step son (16.5) use my vehicle.  I have had no problems with my car, but when he got home he said my battery was bad and he had to jump  it.  Obviously he was hanging out in the car, listening to tunes with his friends and drained the battery.
Ever since he jump started the car, my car alarm is messed up.  I don't know whether or not he jumped started it backwards or not; shorting out the system.

What happens is this: Every time I double click my remote which locks the doors and sets the alarm, then disarm it, the alarm goes off anyway, and the car is dead.  I have to put in the key and turn backwards, then hit the override.  It seems that if I use the remote and click it once, which locks the doors but does set the alarm, then unlock, the alarm does not go off, but the car is still dead.
Do you think the alarm trashed?  Is there a fuse somewhere that may have been distroyed? Do you have any suggestions?

Actually, I spent about 2 more hours digging through forums last night and found a direct phone number to KARR technicians and a very nice guy was able to help me over the phone- at 12:30AM!  The KARR website is useless but here's the number - 1-800-960-KARR (5277).  You might pass along the number to anyone who might can use it.  He even took down my information to mail me a user manual since the Ford dealer didn't provide me with one.
