Car Alarms: python 1400. SO remote starter, optonline net, remote starter

Question
My remote starter stopped working. When I press the start button I hear a
fast ticking sound and then the battery light comes on. I replaced the battery
and the problem is still occuring. My question is there any other reason why
this is happening? Is this something I can fix myself?
