Car Alarms: TOYOTA ALARM, toyota alarm, slave module

Question
MY ALARM MODULE HAS A WIRE COMING OUT THAT SAYS FOR REMOTE START UPGRADE. IM INSTALLING A REMOTE START ON MY TRUCK BUT CANT FIND ANY INFO ON HOOKING UP TO THIS WIRE. ITS A 98 T100. CAN U HELP?

Answer
That wire might be a negative trigger output wire,
the would send a pulse to the input wire on a
remote start slave module. It would be controlled
by the factory remote. If you do not plan
to use a factory remote, the leave the
wire alone, and continue to install your remote
starter per instructions.

If you do have the factory remote, there
would be a button designated to the remote
starter. You would also be able to use an
after market slave starter in this instance.

If it were me, I would look that wire up in a Chiltons
Manual ( www.chiltonsonline.com) for this vehicle
and see what Toyota intended for it.

I hope this was helpful.
