Car Alarms: Does my car have an Alarm?, opel zafira, dumb question

Question
Sounds like a dumb question, I know. We live overseas and bought my Opel Zafira from a Dutch dealer, and all the paperwork is in Flemish. I'm trying to tell if my car has an alarm. The owner's manual indicates that my model CAN come with an alarm, but doesn't give me any insights. (My husband's car was recently burglarized, and while we thought his had an alarm, we are now doubting that.)

When I lock my car with the key fob, I press the LOCK button once to lock the car. If I press the button again immediately, the car's lights flash again, and the car makes a second "locking" noise, even though the car locked the first time.

We've tried bumping against the car, fiddling with the door handle, anything to try to set the alarm off.

It seems that because something different happens when I press the lock button twice, there might be an alarm.

Any insight you have on how I can test this would be greatly appreciated!
