Lincoln/Mercury Repair: Lincoln Limo, power steering failure, lincoln limo

Question
Good morning, Pete.
I have a 92 Lincoln Limo with a few issues.  One, I'm getting a groaning sort of noise from the front, which I have been told may be the power steering.  It's particularly loud in low gear (i.e. backing up, just taking off, etc). What are the audible symptoms of power steering failure?  To me, it sounds like a belt too tight or something.
Two, I have a regular problem with the trunk switch not lowering the catch.  It appears to be intermittent - sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.  How should I address that?
The remaining problems (various minor electrical, A/C leaking but no one can find where (even with dye), and a defective switchboard which doesn't allow me to get heat to the floor, but everywhere else) I'll leave for now.
But one final (3rd) question: between a Town Car and a Grand Marquis, what is the difference in suspension?  I've found the Town Cars MUCH better and was disappointed in the Marquis when I rented a new one in Florida.  Why might that be?
Thanks, Pete.   Sorry it was so long.
Ken

Answer
hello ken
first i would check that power steraling belt lousen it a littile . this will cause the bearings in the pump to burn out if the belt is to tight. And the Marquis is a much cheaper sup than the lincoln . that is why the lincloin is much better soon as took off the line . air sorry i do not work on air pete
