Car Alarms: help my anti theft wont turn off, gm vehicle, passlock

Question
I went to start my 2000 jimmy she has anti theft for some reason i think i triggered it, because she has my key locked in my ignition and wont do anything, i waited an hour before trying to start her again but yet she refuses to give back my key or start what do i do

Ok then, from your desription and the
make/model/year of the car you have there,
it appears you've reset the PASSLOCK.

The car's security immobilizer
reader at the key switch
does not recognise the coded
chip in the ignition key any longer.

Unfortunately, you need to tow it to
any GM vehicle dealer
to have the service department re code it.

Wish I had better news for you, but
now it's also a mechanical as well as
electrical issue and they will need to resolve it.
