Car Alarms: Problems with lock feature, leg area, tremendous service

Question
I have a 94 Accord with an aftermarket Pursuit (I think) system.  It has a 60 second delay before automatically locking. Recently, whether from the FOB or from waiting for the automatic lock, the car continues to try to lock itself and will continue to do this for about 30 seconds or so.  The system works fine unlocking the car, it is only when I lock it.  What I've been doing is locking it with the FOB and then waiting for the car to stop trying to lock itself--it will not lock at all if I wait on the auto-lock feature despite it continually trying to do so.  At the same time, I have noticed that the key will no longer work in the either car door, though it still works in the ignition and the trunk.  I'm not sure this is related but suspect it is.

I've spent some time here browsing to see if there was a duplicate problem and I'm very impressed with the invaluable service you provide here.  You certainly don't get enough thanks.  Whether or not you are able to help my particular problem, I want to thank you for your tremendous service.

Answer
I appreciate the comment. Very nice
& very welcomed. Nice to know your
doing a good job from time to time.
Thanks.

I would start by going into valet overide.
Discount the alarm from the equation to see
if it's the Pursuit system or the factory
locking system malfunctioning here.

Should be key on, press the valet overide switch
usually found to the left leg area under the dash,
until the alarm chirps, and the LED comes on solid.

This is over ride. I would then check all of the
functions inherent to the car itself to see if
they came back. If so, it is indeed the Pursuit alarm,
and it needs inspection as to why it's acting quirky.

If not, then I would look at the charging system
in the Accord to begin with.

It's usually the power distribution that would
cause the locks to flutter and key;s stop working
if there is no body damage.

Let me know if this reset shows anything obvious
& thanks again for the kind regards.
