Car Alarms: 95 camero, can you just get rid of this anti-theft?, gm vats, program button

Question
so we have just had an issue with our car not starting due to our anti-theft system. we went and bought a new ignition switch and had it put in. well it worked great, id say its been working normally for almost a whole month... until today. we get into the car and  try start it... everything else works, but its not turning over and our security comes on. just as it did before we put the new ignition switch in. its getting to be a big pain in my rear and i need to know what i can do. are you able to just totally get rid of the anti-theft system all together?> is there anything that i can do to avoid this problem happening again?> and how can i get my car to start now?>

Answer
Unfortunately, this vehicle is equipped with the GM VATS
based engine disabling system, and will require a
GM PLJX bypass module to keep it diengaged
for good.

A bypass is required to circumvent for remote start applications. In your case the module would bypass it for good.

as you can see now, if left unchecked, it will
lock down the fuel injector rail, and you will then
need to tow it in to GM for evaluation, and resetting.

This Passlock Bypass Module is designed to momentarilly
allow the engine to remote start by sending a proper
coded pulse to open the fuel rail passlock injector
cut off circuit.

The output from an alarm/remote starter
would then shut down the pulse, once it has detected
the engine has engaged, and preserve the integrity
of the passlock system.

That is it's designed purpose.

This is a self learning, resistor sensing
and self adjusting module. Once the VATS/PASSLOCK
wires have been tapped,
you would press the program button to learn,
and it does. The car should then allow start
with any hardware store key.
