Car Alarms: Can alarm system prevent, oem alarms, sorry ed

Recently bought used 1996 Acura 2.5TL and has factory installed anti-theft alarm system. Shortly after purchase, experienced engine not starting, although engine would crank, engine would not start. I attempted numerous times, with engine turning over but not starting. After allowing auto to sit for few hours, retried start and auto immediately started and ran normally. I took vehicle to local dealership and they found nothing amis with auto. My question is: can anti-theft alarm system manfunction allow engine to turn over, but not allow it to run..possibly not allowing fuel to flow to engine. Big help if you can.

Sorry Ed, my expertise is in the application of
remote start, or adding after market alarms, not
in OEM alarms or they're functions. I suggest
an ACURA blog maybe or a Chilltons Manual
for the car parts and wiring, to get some
explaination of they're OEM system, so you
can better approach this issue.
