Car Alarms: Prestige alarm problem, prestige alarm, subwolfers

Question
Hello, I read your response to someone else who had a question about a Prestige alarm reset.  I'm not as techie so I need a bit more help.  My son's battery in his "new" (to him) 94 Honda Accord had to be jumped when he left his lights on.  Everytime his buddies tried to jump the car the Prestige alarm went off.  A friend was finally able to deactiviate it (by removing fuses) and they got the car started.  But, alas, now my son does not know how to reactivate the alarm after replacing the fuses.  Thanks for any advise you can give us.  Sue, Mom to 17 year old
PS  Sad to say, someone broke into his car the day after his alarm was deactivated and stole his subwolfers out of the trunk!

Answer
Gotcha, Pass this on to your son.

Let's put it into valet/service mode,
and try to reset the alarm to default mode.

Look under the dash area for a button or, a toggle
switch. When you locate it, turn on the ignition
key, press and hold in the button (little
spring loaded micro button, red or black possibly)
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.

At this point. the alarm would have reset.
If this had a starter kill relay installed,
it would now be opened, and the engine would
turn over when tried.

You would repeat these steps to go back to
user mode to see if this was corrected.

Let me know if it works for his system.

Good luck.
