Car Alarms: remote problem, car security system, brain box

Question
I have a Pursuit alarm with keyless entry, the only time the remote works is if I stand at the driver side door, only then does it control anything. I changed the battery, so it is fresh.

Try to locate the brain box under the dash
and re position the antenna to a verticle spot,
high up in the under dash area, not attached
to any metal, or obstructed by any metal for optimun
range. If no change in reception/range occurs,
either get new remotes and program to the system,
or replace the system with a new, better range one
with a fresh, new set of remotes for best
overall performance from your car security system.
