Car Alarms: 04 grand prix car alarm, alarmtek, dash area

hi, i have an 04 grand prix
and
randomly my alarm
just goes off
for  a long while

an i need to know how to disable it
i might just disable it permanently
an get an aftermarket alarm

Answer
Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
(doubtfull since none of the notes show this
car as having a factory alarm system)=FACTORY

Or,

is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?= it's an AFTER MARKET
alarm allready.

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take.
