Car Alarms: carbine plus 4000, star button, remote starter

I have just purchased a 2001 f250 dsl with a carbine remote. I have the new style remote with a blue star button on the remote? What does it control? If it's a remote start, how do i make it work?

can get features information from the manufacturer.

If the remote starter is installed, you would
be able to press and hold the star button, for
approx. 4 seconds, then the starter would be engaged.
If not, probably not installed, but contact
the company to be certain.
