Car Alarms: car alarm, battery cables, alarm features

Question
I unhooked my battery to fix my car, but I can't so I'm going to take it in.  When I reattached the battery cables my alarm goes off, and I can't get it to stop, or start the car.  The alarm is DEI and it was already installed on my 97 civic when I got it.  Could anyone please tell me how to get it to stop?  Thanks

Please try to locate the valet switch
to overide the alarm.

If you would read some of the previous
posts I made on this subject, you will
see the procedure to toggle into and out
of valet/override mode. It allows
you to set and reset the starter kill mechanism
as well as all other standard alarm features.

This should also apply to yours.
