Car Alarms: reprogram pythoncar alarm transmitter, toyota rav4, unstable area

I bought a 2002 toyota rav4 that already had a python alarm installed.  It have been working perfectly until I was fumbling with an arm full of stuff and was pushing the transmitter several times.  (I have the transmitter with only 2 buttons on it and it's just solid plastic no LED screen on it. you push I to lock and unlock and II is for option to have a beeping sound or not.) and that's it.  So now the transmitter will only lock the car not set the alarm.  Is there a sequence to push the buttons to reset the alarm since it got deactivated but pushing the buttons randomly?  Please let me know because we live in an unstable area.  My husband's car has been broken into twice now.  Please help.
