Car Alarms: Black Widow Alarm, black widow alarm, flip switch

Question
QUESTION: I just bought a used truck that had a black widow alarm and remote start system installed. i have looked online at the manual for the model that i believe is installed. the manual keeps refering to the valet switch but the only switch i can find is a small toggle switch under the dash but i cannot figure out how to use it because the manuals keep speaking of a push button valet switch. how do i use this?????

ANSWER: Should be the simple method if it's an older model
unit:

KEY ON, JUST BEFORE CRANKING.
FLIP SWITCH IN OPPOSITE DIRECTION,
KEY OFF.

That would toggle the system in and out
of valet/overide if it is installed correctly.

QUESTION: How will i know if it worked??? and when the manual speaks of holding the switch down for Xnumber seconds how does that work with a toggle switch???

Answer
If the push button does not exsist,
then you obviously can not apply the
info you have there. This means you
have the wrong manual for what's installed.

Try contacting them at www.blackwidowsecurity.com
to get some input on it.

The toggle here would simply overide the arming
of the system. It would be off. or on. no middle.
