Car Alarms: Ungo remote shorted out, cant disarm alarm!, dash area, little spring

Question
I had not been using the alarm for my 1986 MR2 for a few days since I had misplaced my keys.  I found them in the washing machine today however, and I think the remote has shorted out.  I took it apart and dried it, but when the battery is installed the LED stays lit all the time even when no buttons are being pressed.

I tried to arm the car anyways, but it didn't beep or anything.  Anyways when I opened my door the alarm sounded!      The car still started but it took about 1 or 2 minutes for the alarm to stop.  I can't disarm the alarm now, and I have never owned one before so I really have no idea what to do.  The alarm came with the car, and I just bought it about 1 month ago.

The devise IS getting power but it is not acting the way it should, it must have armed the car when I brought it close enough.

I don't mind not using an alarm, but I need to know how to disable it.  I need the car to deliver pizza tonight at 4:ooPM PST, so if anyone has a solution that may work for me please don't hesitate to fire it off to me.

Thank you in advance.

Answer
First off, take out the battery from the remote.
It's stuck on arm. Then try this:

Look under the dash area for a button or, a toggle
switch. When you locate it, turn on the ignition
key, press and hold in the button (little
spring loaded micro button, red or black possibly)
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.

At this point. the alarm would have reset.
If this had a starter kill relay installed,
it would now be opened, and the engine would
turn over when tried.

You would repeat these steps to go back to
user mode to see if this was corrected.

Finally, go to try to get a new remote or 2
from a place like www.keynfob.com

Let me know if it works for yours.
