Car Alarms: 1997 Chevy Camaro Stock Alarm issues, chevy camaro, security light

Question
I bought a 1997 camaro a few months ago with a stock alarm. It didn't come with the remote so every time I locked the car it would set the alarm and I would have to jump in really fast and put the key in the ignition so the alarm wouldn't go off. It worked fine for 3-4 weeks. I forgot to put the key in once and the "security" light started flashing and the engine was disabled for maybe 30 minutes before I was able to start it again. After that  the engine wasn't starting about every other day. I took it to the local Chevy shop and they got me another remote and it was working fine for the last week or two but now the remote is locking/unlocking the doors and setting the alarm but the engine won't start and the "security" light is staying on solid when the key is out of the ignition and flashing when I have it turned on. The red LED is flashing like it always does. How do I fix this?

Answer
Different issue from the sounds of it.
Contact the dealer again and ask them about the passlock
system. Since they were the last to deal with
it (fortunately for you), they should take it in to
check they're work. Seems that they contributed
to this issue, and they should fix it....right? :>)

Let me know what they discover.
