QuestionI want to ship a new 2008 Ultima to Boston, by the auto train or auto shipping company. It requires that I deactivate the alarm before sending it to be shipped. I don't know how to deactivate or then after to activate it.car has push ignition button, and keyless entries. Does that complicate things?
AnswerI believe they gave you a "proximity card" that
the car recognizes when you are about to start the
engine, and lock and unlock the doors/trunk.
Give this and an explaination to the Amtrak people
so they can deal with it. Best way is to simply NOT
lock the doors. It won't arm the system that way.
Also since it's so new, call Nissan for suggestion
as well. Brand new system, might need they're input
on it too just to be safe.
