I just bought this car last weekend, and added a car alarm system for $1397 on the same day. The finance manager said that it didn't have immobilizer, so I accept it. I found out that it was standard feature. Now I feel cheated. I Would to know if I can get refund. Would a car alarm for this type of car be so expensive?

It does appear that you were taken advantage of.
All civics from 2002 up have transponder chips
in the ignintion keys as standard equipment.

They soaked you good on a standard security system
with keyless entry. I mean even in your car,
a top flight, paging car alarm/keyless and remote
starter system, with a camera would cost about 450 to 550.
installed with a transponder bypass!
