Car Alarms: Car Alarm 2003 Ford Mustang, valet mode, ford mustang

Question
I have been reading the articles about Ford Alarms as mine is also
malfunctioning. I have tried turning the key and holding the override/valet
and all variations but have not had the horn chirp nor the lights flash; nothing
has happened and I have held up to 1-2 minutes in each variation. The
problem is the alarm going off all the time for no apparent reason, I put the
car in valet mode however the horn chirps everytime I lock and unlock the
doors. I would like to turn everything off and have it just like a car without an
alarm and just lock and unlock the doors in silence. Is this possible or will I
have to take it back to the dealer to have the whole thing removed in order to
get a quiet car? Thank you for any help you can provide as the chirping is
driving me crazy.

Answer
It appears the system you have is not responding
to the commands from the valet switch.
I'd start with the local car alarm/stereo shop
for an inspection on the after market system.

Now if this is actually the factory alarm
giving you fits, the FACTORY ALARM DISARM WIRE IS
lt. blue/black |-| at the 26 pin plug @ the FEM module,
located under the drivers side of the dash on the
firewall.

Once Located, splice into this wire with
a simular guage wire, and put it to
a solid chassis ground. This terminates
the FACTORY alarm functions entirely.
You'll know if it applie to yours as soon
as you arm the system, (or try to).

Those are what I can offer you right now without
my own first hand inspection.

Too many veriables to make a conclusive
diagnosis at a distance on this one.

Let me know what you discover.
