Car Alarms: Starter problem, starter problem, overide

Question
I have a Rattler system, car wouldn't start, jumped it a couple of times, car started. Alarm starting going off, disconnected the ground wire to turn off alarm horn. Now car will only start with the remote, key does nothing, when I turn the key the car doesn't respond. Once car is started with the remote the key is still needed to keep car running, once the car is started the lights continuosly flash the whole time car is running. Please help.

The remote start part is still functioning, so that's a good thing.

Please review the past posts on valet/overide to reset the system.
It appears from your explaination that that's
all that's needed here. A simple resetting.
