Car Alarms: possible kill switch, tick tick, remote start

My truck has an alarm with remote start.The fuel pump won't kick in. The car cranks but won't start. Is this a kill switch issue. If so, what can I do to resolve it?

No, starter kill would not even try to
crank. I would simply be no reaction,
or a "tick tick ticking" sound.

It's more likely
your car may have an immobilizer in the key and
ignition column. If this applies to your vehicle,
a bypass module is probably necessary for remote start.
