Car Alarms: 1997 Buick LeSarbe, rf signal, chevy truck

I saw that someone asked about their alarm going off for no reason. My does also. It is headlights flashing and horn blowing. I also own a 2002 GMC Sirera 3500 and everytime I unlock my truck with the fob it sets off the alarm on by 1997 Buick. Can I disarm the alarm and still use the key fob to open the door. or can I disarm the the horn without doing away with the horn all together?

Then I would change out the fobs for the chevy truck as they are obviously getting the same signal generated by the remote. You can check with GM of course, but it seems
the 2 cars are picking up the same rf signal.
