Car Alarms: 1996 Pontiac Grand Am Auto 2.4, gm vehicle, pontiac grand am

Question
QUESTION: The car starts/stalls.  Have a brand new PCM flashed my this particular car.  Something is wrong with the antitheft system. It won't communicate with the PCM.  I want to totally bypass the antitheft.  How do I do it?

ANSWER: Ok, It appears you've reset the VATS (PASSLOCK II).
The car does not recognise the chip in the ignition
key any longer. You can try to put the key
in the ignition, turn to the on position & wait at
least 10 mins like that.

In some cases, the VATS (GM'S VEHICLE ANTI THEFT SYSTEM)
will re learn the code this way, and will then
allow the restart. But if this does not work,
then you can simply tow it to any GM vehicle dealer
to have the service department re code it.

Good luck I hope method 1 does the trick!

QUESTION: The key does not have a chip in it.  It won't work.  I just want to totally bypass the antitheft or disable it altogether.  A dealer will cost too much.  PLEASE let me know how I can do this.

Answer
Then you need the PLJX passlock bypass module (59.95)
and have a professional technician install it for you.
This will keep the PASSLOCK from ever arming once
bypassed.

Can be purchased at www.PASSLOCKBYPASS.com
or www.NOPASSLOCK.com

Good luck.
