Car Alarms: Alarm wont chirp, fcc id, saturn sl

Question
My grandmother gave me her 1995 Saturn SL II and it has an aftermarket (i assume) alarm on it. The key chain remote says Auto Mate on it with a FCC ID of EZSDEI467. I was carrying a bunch f things from the car and the alarm started going off so i frantically started pressing the 2 buttons on it to get it to go off because it was late in the evening, and now the chirp doesnt work. Is there anyway to make it chirp again??

Answer
Try resetting it.

Look under the dash area for a button or, a toggle
switch. When you locate it, turn on the ignition
key, press and hold in the button (little
spring loaded micro button, red or black possibly)
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.

This is valet overide. Now repeat the same steps
and I think the chirps should come back.

Let me know if it worked for you

Have a good afternoon.
