Car Alarms: 99 Grand Prix--doors wont lock, visual information, circuit city

hello, I have a 99 grand prix with the automate 476a system. Some how the vehicle was reprogrammed and now when I attempt to lock the door with the fob the system arms, but the doors don't lock. Then when the door is opened, the system goes crazy and the door opens... given that it never locked. Please help, I just want to be able to lock my doors with the fob again. Thanks for your time

I think you need to take it to a technician
locally who can inspect it first hand.
I can't see it.

Hard for me to diagnose the trouble
without first hand visual information.

Take it up the the local Circuit city or best buys
and see if they can look at it real quick.
