Car Alarms: viper350HV silent mode problems, leg area, silent mode

Question
my alarm does not seem to arm/disarm. the doors lock and unlock and the headlights flash once and twice as it would if it was arming and disarming. i believe that it is in silent mode permanently because i have put in silent mode temporarily before by accident but it went off on its own. but the last time that it was set, accidently, it didn't go away. i know that it doesn't arm because when it is armed i open the trunk manually with the key and the alarm doesn't go off (and it had in the past). also when I'm sitting in the car with the alarm set, i open the door manually and nothing happens (in the past the alarm would go off). also the LED indicator light on the dash stays on a solid blue when set (flashed blue when set in past). my panic button still works fine, i just don't hear the chirps when arming/disarming. what should i do? and if i have to reset it, where is that located?

Answer
Please try to locate the valet switch
to overide the alarm. It is usually under
the dash, to the left side of the leg area.

If you would read some of the previous
posts I made on this subject, you will
see the procedure to toggle into and out
of valet/override mode. It allows
you to set and reset the starter kill mechanism
as well as all other standard alarm features.

This should also apply to yours.

Good luck with it. Should do the trick.
