Car Alarms: Remote starter problems, starter problems, remote start

I had a remote starter/alarm installed, and am having some issues. The first is that when i press the remote start button, it takes a full minute before the car starts. Secondly, sometimes I will press unlock on the remote starter, and open an unlocked door, and the alarm will go off. and the only way i can find to disable it is the press the "panic" button on the factory FOB. Any help? thanks, Todd.

The only thing I can suggest is ether take it back
to the installer to have him inspect and re do it,
or replace it with a good system and do it yourself.

Obviously the installer needs to check his work.
It sounds uncomfortably wrong.

I'd do it quickly before problems crop up
that you can't control.
