Car Alarms: 2001 nissan altima factory alarm problem, hornet auto, nissan altima

Question
I have a 2001 nissan altima and installed a hornet auto start alarm system in it. ever since the two alarms dotn work together and my car doesnt start the factory alram clashes with the other one the only way to get my car to start is to unscrew the battery wait then put it back. is there anyway i can just disarm the factory alram or should i just take out the hornet alarm??

Thanx!

Answer
Your Hornet system should have a negative factory alarm disarm output.  This wire would need to be connected to the Altima's disarm wire which is green/yellow at the smart entrance control unit to the right of the steering column.  When this wire sees a ground pulse it disarms the factory alarm, just like unlocking the driver's door with a key.
