Car Alarms: Car alarm goes off even when key opens car, negative polarity, alarmtek

Question
Hey there ALARMTEK.  I need your expertise.
I have a 2000 Taurus.  We lost the key fob that unlocks/locks doors, and enables panic mode.
However, when I lock the car, and try to open the door with my key, the alarm goes off, and the starter disables.  I don't have the key fob, and really don't want the alarm. Can I disable the system so I can drive my car again???
Thanks,
 Todd

Answer
Normally, you would insert the key in
the drivers door, turn left, then right
to disarm and reset it. If yours is malfunctioning,
you can disable it for good by doing the following:

The FACTORY ALARM DISARM WIRE IS
pink/white |- negative polarity|
in the 26 pin plug at GEM modual,
Located to the left of the steering column.

Once Located, splice into either wire with
a simular guage wire, and put it to
a solid chassis ground. This terminates
the alarm functions entirely.

However, at this point, this car would be exceedingly
easy to steel, so I suggest you get an aftermarket
alarm system to protect it from here on in.

Have a good day.
