Car Alarms: Volvo 850 keyless door lock wiring, glt wagon, obd ii

Question
I just installed a remote starter and keyless kit in my 95 Volvo GLT Wagon (non-turbo) w/ 126,000 mi and the OBD-II elect. system w/o deadlock. Everything works great except the "lock" function when I'm using the aftermarket system. The VOLVO keyless remote locks the doors, but the aftermarket system won't (it will unlock though). I'm thinking I got the wrong wire, but all the wiring diagrams agree that a GRY/YEL (located in various places) is the "lock" circuit. A bunch of knowledge bases agree on that very wire and also say it needs a pulse to ground, but I'm wondering if there's a trick.... like on the "unlock" circuit you need to negatively pulse the "unlock" wire and the "alarm disarm" wire at the same time twice to unlock the car and start it. Has anyone else had this problem before?

Answer
My notes differ:

POWER LOCK|yellow/gray |-|in the drivers kick panel
POWER UNLOCK|gray/red  |-|in the drivers kick panel

Take a simple test light, ground the clip.
Then locate these two wires, then probe one at a time.
Once touched with ground, the lock wire will throw
the lock, or the unlock wire will throw the unlock
mechanism. Then connect the (-) door lock or unlock
output from the alarm accordingly.

That should do it.

Keep me informed.
