Car Alarms: VolvoGaurd Alarm System, starter wire, volvo 850

How can I disable my VolvoGaurd alarm system? We got the battery changed in our 95 Volvo 850, and now the alarm goes off when ever we open the door. The alarm hasn't worked in two years prior to this. The key pad will not work, even to be reprogrammed. We just want to be able to drive the thing again. We've gotten into the dash and taken the box out, hoping to be able to use a jumper to disable the start inhibitor, but we weren't sure how to do it on our particular model. Can you help?

I sounds like you still need to cut out
the starter kill relay inline.

Once removed, the connect the 2 ends
of the starter wires back together as
if untouched.

Find the

STARTER wire which is green/red [+]
located in the plastic-tube
harness behind the relays
near firewall.

That should do it.
