Car Alarms: 1993 nissan maxima factory alarm, silver dots, nissan maxima

Question
My alarm system appears to be disabling my starter sometimes even when the alarm does not go off.  Even disconnecting the battery or setting off the alarm and then disabling it does not allow the car to start.  I'm thinking the solution is to just disable the alarm.

However, both a garage and a dealership have told me that it's impossible.  The dealership said it's because the factory alarm is connected to the lights and horns.

I read your earlier advice to:

"Locate the OEM Alarm Disarm Wire:

GREEN/BLACK (-)
DRIVER KICK PANEL IN THE HARNESS FROM THE DOOR.

Then ground it permanantly to the chassis of the car."

However, I tried opening that panel next to my left foot and all I see is a giant bundle of wires.  I read another answer from you and it mentioned something about an anti-theft module... I don't see anything like that.  Should I dig around in the bundle of wires for a green and black one?  How do I ground it?  Buy a t-tap or something and put the wire in one side and another wire in the other and put it under a screw?  How do I know what guage the wire is?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Answer
In this year Maxima, the factory disarm wire
is LIGHT GREEN/BLACK WITH SILVER DOTS AT THE
Anti-theft module located to left of steering column.
Says *Theft Warning* on module.

Splice into this wire with a simular size wire,
then using a self tapping metal screw, put
the wire to the chassis.

This terminates the Nissan Factory security system.

It's not always the same color and location from
year to year. But you now have the info needed.

Good luck with it.
