Car Alarms: disarm car alarm, mercury sable, wire splice

Question
how do i disarm an the alarm in a 1996 mercury sable, the key is the only device i have

Answer
It shoulld be key in the drivers door,
turn all the way left, then right to turn off
the factory system. If no joy,
Then you will need to permanently disable it.


The PINK/WHITE factory disarm wire
is in the harness to the drivers
door, inside the drivers kick panel.

Locate this wire splice
into it with the same guage wire,
then ground it to a solid chassis point.

This takes out the factory alarm for however
long you keep this wire grounded.

It is the only way I know of to get around
the factory alarm system in this truck.

If it's an aftermarket system,
then that's another story.
